LAL Summer Schools use the buildings and grounds of Kelly College in Tavistock. Kelly College is a private, independent school for students from 9-16 years old. It was built in 1877 to educate the sons of naval officers. The main school is a beautiful, old building, reminiscent of Harry Potter's school, set in vast, beautiful grounds, incorporating various accommodation houses and facilities.
Kelly College gives us the opportunity to take around 200 students from many different countries offering good quality accommodation, innovative lessons and an exciting and varied leisure programme. 2012 saw LAL Summer Schools receive over 28 different nationalities from 4 different continents. Expert management, returning staff and vast experience ensure that LAL Summer Schools maintains the highest operational standards possible.

LEISURE PROGRAMME
At Kelly College there is a swimming pool, fields for football, rugby, volleyball, tennis, basketball, badminton, squash and even cricket!
We also cater for the non sport-minded with arts and crafts, karaoke, disco, drama, dance, singing, radio controlled car racing, casino night and watching films as further options to keep everyone entertained.
To complement the varied activities, we have an extensive excursion programme, incorporating both culture and fun, taking in popular destinations where the students are actively encouraged to use their English.
Additional excursions and activities are available for an extra charge on request and students who stay for longer than two weeks will receive an additional full-day excursion as part of their programme.
