English Courses for Young Learners

At Kelly College we offer educational and exciting programmes for Young Learners which mix hard study with serious fun!
All teachers are qualified and hold a current certificate in teaching EFL, either Cambridge CELTA or Trinity TESOL (or equivalent). The are also checked for criminal records with the CRB or an equivalent authority. Students can also opt for the Trinity GESE examinations (subject to minimum numbers).
Students attend 20 lessons General English with a comprehensive activity programme, with special excursions bookable on-site. LAL Summer Schools has adopted a task-based syllabus, which has been designed in order to present new language in addition to consolidating learners' existing knowledge. The topics chosen for each project have been meticulously selected to ensure that learners are actively stimulated throughout the course, whilst having ample opportunities to utilise the language in both controlled and freer practice sessions. Each lesson will focus on a communicative approach developing learners' productive and receptive skills. All course materials are provided, including an LAL coursebook.
