Why Tenerife?

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary islands, which are set South West of Spain in the Atlantic Ocean, just 108km off the west coast of Africa. Puerto de la Cruz is the second biggest town and is located on the North of the island in the Orotava Valley. Its lush gardens, sweeping promenades, long history, vast and varied selection of open-air restaurants and sea make it a relaxing and intriguing paradise in which to learn Spanish. If you’re looking to soak up the sun and laze on the beach between lessons, Tenerife is the perfect destination. However, if you’re looking for adventure and discovery there’s also plenty to keep you busy, from a zoo and sea-life park and beautiful botanical gardens to historic churches, an archaeological museum and climbing the Teide volcano! As an internationally famous tourist destination, Puerto de la Cruz also has a fantastic nightlife!

The School

Our school in Tenerife is located in a former hotel building. The school’s typical Canarian structure, with its neat courtyard, ensures the sun’s rays are trapped while the sea breeze is diverted, providing you with a warm and light environment in which to learn Spanish. The school is situated just 5 minutes from the Martiánez beach and 2 minutes from the Lago Martiánez. The school has seven classrooms, a staff room, a multimedia classroom, where you can enjoy free internet access, a recreation room with a television, hi-fi, library and DVDs. A beautiful patio, stocked with tropical plants and trees in stone pots, is the ideal place to get some fresh air and relax between lessons. Being so centrally located means there are dozens of bars nearby and many have terraces so you can relax outside and watch
