Why Madrid?

Madrid is situated in the heart of Spain and it was declared the country’s capital city less then five hundred years ago, when it was no more than a small village! This makes it a very modern capital in comparison to many of Europe's other cities. A place to be lived in rather than seen, Madrid is bursting with life and activity. It has everything you could want from peaceful parks and fascinating museums to an unrivalled nightlife and some fantastic fiestas!

The School

Our brand new school in Madrid opened in spring of 2008 and is located in the heart of the city´s lively and smart Argüelles District, right next to the fabulous Palacio del Duque de Liria. It is just a 5 minute walk from Plaza de España, Gran Vía and Plaza de Oriente and the rest of the city is easily accessible by metro. Being so centrally located means there are many shops nearby as well as dozens of traditional bars and restaurants nearby to grab a drink or bite to eat in between lessons. The school shares its historic five storey building with the student Residence so going to class has never been easier! The building has recently been renovated inside but it still retains the charm and grace of its historic exterior architecture outside, which is typically Madrileño. The school offers 38 large, bright, airy and air-conditioned classrooms, a computer room, (where you can enjoy free internet access or free Wi-Fi for your laptop), a reception area and a very cosy recreation room where you can relax between classes. In short, it is a beautiful and comfortable place to learn Spanish in Madrid!
