Comfortable accommodation is an essential part of your study trip. That is why we attach so much importance to the quality of our accommodation. We understand that something as simple as a broken shower can ruin an otherwise perfect day, while it distracts you from what you are here to do - learn English. We’re here to make you feel cozy, secure and right at home. Make yourself at home

Many students choose homestay - living with local people in their own home. You can have a single room, with somewhere to study. This accommodation provides an ideal opportunity to practise English outside class.

Self-catering or residential accommodation is also available. The standard is usually basic and suits more independent students.

Alternatively, we can arrange hotel accommodation.

Homestay

 

Home stays offer you a unique opportunity to experience English life while living in the home of a local English speaking family. You’ll speak English all day long, out of necessity and fun and interest in the family life you see unfolding around you. Accommodation in a host family allows you to get the most out of your language course as it gives you a privileged view of daily life in another culture.

About home stay:

  • * Your host "family" may be a family with parents and children or a single parent who takes in students because he or she enjoys the company. You wouldn’t be the first to go out on the town together, or to keep in contact with your family after your return home.
  • * You can choose from a room with breakfast, half-board (breakfast and either a cooked meal in the afternoon at about two o’clock or light dinner at ten) or full-board (breakfast and two meals).
  • * You’ll eat at local hours - usually later than what you may be accustomed to- and you’ll eat local foods, although the family will take your preferences into account as much as possible.

Residence

Bournemouth Summer Residence

In summer 2010, we are pleased to be able to offer our students the option of accommodation in a university residence in addition to the choice of homestay accommodation. From 24th July until 21st August, students will be able to stay at a Bournemouth University residence., Purbeck House.

Purbeck House is centrally located, close to the town centre of Bournemouth with direct bus links to the school, taking approximately 15-20 minutes.

The accommodation is split up into 5 bedroom apartments with each bedroom having en-suite facilities. Each apartment has a shared kitchen and living room.

Of course, you also have the option of staying in a local hotel. Contact us in advance and we will be happy to arrange accommodation for you in one of our recommended local hotels.
