Comfortable accommodation is an essential part of your study trip. That is why we attach so much importance to the quality of our accommodation. We understand that something as simple as a broken shower can ruin an otherwise perfect day, while it distracts you from what you are here to do - learn English. We’re here to make you feel cozy, secure and right at home. Make yourself at home

Many students choose homestay - living with local people in their own home. You can have a single room, with somewhere to study. This accommodation provides an ideal opportunity to practise English outside class.

Self-catering or residential accommodation is also available. The standard is usually basic and suits more independent students.

Alternatively, we can arrange hotel accommodation.

Choose from 3 accommodation options :

  • * Home stay
  • * Residence
  • * Hotel

Home stays offer you a unique opportunity to experience English life while living in the home of a local English speaking family. You’ll speak English all day long, out of necessity and fun and interest in the family life you see unfolding around you. Accommodation in a host family allows you to get the most out of your language course as it gives you a privileged view of daily life in another culture.

About home stay:

  • * Your host "family" may be a family with parents and children or a single parent who takes in students because he or she enjoys the company. You wouldn’t be the first to go out on the town together, or to keep in contact with your family after your return home.
  • * You can choose from a room with breakfast, half-board (breakfast and either a cooked meal in the afternoon at about two o’clock or light dinner at ten) or full-board (breakfast and two meals).
  • * You’ll eat at local hours - usually later than what you may be accustomed to- and you’ll eat local foods, although the family will take your preferences into account as much as possible.

Residence
Regent Oxford would like to welcome you to our summer residence at Stapeldon House, 214-222 Iffley Road, Oxford, part of the fourth oldest college in Oxford – Exeter College.  We hope you have an enjoyable stay there and a great learning experience at our school.

Founded in 1314 by Walter de Stapeldon, the Bishop of Exeter, the College has altered considerably over the centuries. During your stay, we hope that you will get to visit the Chapel, designed by the famous Victorian architect George Gilbert-Scott. It towers over the Front Quad, and the spire is an unmistakable part of the Oxford skyline. A great way to add a little bit of culture and history into the English language learning experience.
Stapeldon Garden

Exeter College has several houses on the Iffley Road for Graduates, Undergraduates; Students from other Colleges & Educational Courses in the summer vacation.

The houses were private houses built over the last few centuries & therefore having differing styles of architecture & character
The largest house is Exeter House which houses Graduates primarily, has 53 single rooms. Stapeldon House has 38 undergraduate rooms, Stapeldon Annexe has 18 rooms, 228, 230 and 235 have 8 rooms each.  All rooms have a wash hand basin & we have a few ensuite rooms including 2 suitable for disabled residents.

We are very lucky to have gardens around all our houses which provide a little oasis in the busy city centre. We also have a shop, post office & 2 bicycle shops close by & a little further a supermarket on the Cowley Road which has a variety of restaurants.

All rooms have bed, mattress, mattress cover, pillow, curtains, carpet, wash hand basin, desk, desk light, desk chair, easy chair, wardrobe, bookshelves & a coffee table. They vary in size as do their rents for students but conferences are booked in at a set rate.

The rooms are cleaned weekly but we empty the rubbish daily Monday-to Friday & I am sure you will get to know the Scouts who look after the cleanliness of the hostels. Please help them by looking after your own washing up; it is not their job to do this task.

All the houses have some form of common room & depending on the size a number of kitchens fully equipped with cookers, fridges, freezers, kettles, toasters, microwave ovens, china, glass, cutlery, saucepans & implements. Each room is allocated a cupboard or shelf & we ask that you label any food kept in the fridge or freezer.
